When you make DNS changes to your domain, registrars (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace/Google Domains, etc) will tell you it can take up to 24 hours. That’s typically not the case, and you easily check to see if the DNS changes are propagating across the globe.

Use: Whats My DNS.

Waiting for DNS to propagate can be frustrating, especially during a website launch or when there’s pressing business waiting. While you can’t technically speed up the process (aside from making sure you’re using a good DNS host/registrar), you can check if DNS is propagating. While propagation starting doesn’t mean it’ll be over quickly, it at least lets you know the process is underway. This can bring a little peace of mind to an otherwise frustrating time.
